Dry Berthing at Southsea Marina

Southsea Marina now offers a dry berthing service for boats up to 9.5m, providing boat owners with a convenient alternative to towing and launching.

Alternative to Towing and Launching in Langstone Harbour

The service is available to any boat up to 9.5m in length but the marina is expecting dry berthing to be particularly popular amongst racing yacht owners particularly Quarter Tonners and Mini Tonners, being located within a short distance from the Solent and its vibrant racing scene, whilst not incurring the central Solent price penalty. RIB and ski boat owners based in Langstone Harbour may also see value in dry berthing as a convenient alternative to towing, launching and recovery.

The Benefits of Dry Berthing

Boat owners are familiar with the idea that storing a boat out of the water prevents the build up of marine growth on the hull and greatly reduces the risk of osmosis meaning improved performance, reduced fuel consumption and lower maintenance costs. And now Southsea Marina, located only 15 minutes from the Solent, is offering boat owners the chance to enjoy the benefits of dry berthing within a first-class marina setting.

First Class Dry Berthing Service

Southsea's dry berthing service is available now and includes unlimited launches and recoveries during the summer months, April to September.

As part of Premier's dry berthing service, customers will be able to request for their yacht, RIB, or motor boat to be put in the water, with just 4 hours notice during normal working hours, ready for them to hop on board when they arrive at the marina. On returning to the marina, boat owners will be able to leave their vessel on the waiting pontoon and hand it over to a member of staff who will then arrange for the boat to be lifted ashore, washed off and stored safely until their next visit to the marina.

The Premier Advantage

Flexible service aside, Southsea Marina offers excellent on-site facilities perfect after a long day on the water. Premier Berth Holder's can also enjoy some of benefits of the "Premier Advantage" including free nights at other Premier marinas, fuel at cost, discounted boatyards and savings on marine insurance.
